UpSculpt
Opening Reception: June 29, 3-4:30pm
In 2016, UpSculpt started as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to empower action against the crisis of plastic pollution by engaging the public through art, science, and educational workshops. We combine upcycling and sculpting to create environmentally conscious art to educate participants on marine plastics. We remove plastics from beaches and bring attention to the problem, while creating beauty from waste.
Upsculpt communicates through different modalities, using visual art and educational workshops to expose the problem and present creative solutions. TOGETHER, we learn about ocean plastics and create unique sculpture that makes a difference.
Many thanks to the Greenport and North Fork communities for the continued support of our mission.
