Gail Horton - “Mermaid’s Tale of Greenport “

 A trained artist and writer, Gail Horton moved from oils to fibers in the 1970’s as she developed her skills in traditional rug hooking taught by her maternal grandmother, Huldah Taft Dimon,  Personally created designs, hand dyed wools, sketching and photographing are part of what makes Gail’s pieces so unique. East End raised, most of Gail’s tapestries are based upon traditional Irish stories or local Long Island history.
