Our lighthouse cruises and tours include a narrated guided tour. Our main guide is Bob Allen. We occasionally host guest narrators.
Bob Allen was brought up in Greenport and is a descendant of a lighthouse keeper. His great-grandfather, William H. Follett, was stationed at Montauk Point, Cedar Island and the Long Beach Bar (Bug) Light stations from 1912 until 1940. Bob’s father, Bill, quit school at a young age to help his grandfather at Bug Light. When Bob is narrating a tour he also shares stories and photos of his family when they were on these lighthouses.
