The East End Seaport Museum and Marine Foundation relies upon the
hard work and dedication of its volunteers. If you would like to help
us preserve, restore and protect the maritime history of the area,
let us know. Whatever your particular experience, skills, aptitudes
or time constraints, we can find a way for you to help and promise
you a fun experience and an opportunity to work with a great team of
people all committed to the goal of the Foundation.

2012 EESM Internship Positions
The following internships are available at East End Seaport Museum:
An intern will gain direct experience observing and working with both EESM Board and community members with strong maritime experience. Internships provide an opportunity for applied learning and real work experience. The qualifications in our intern include: written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of internet research, organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and ability to multi-task, exceptional writing abilities.
• Business Management Internship: Reporting to the President and the EESM Executive Committee, play a major role in the development and implementation of EESM’s vision and mission Participate in the structure and delivery of “best practices which will include responsibilities in grant writing, business plan development, oversight/tracking of EESM objectives.
• Exhibits Internship: Reporting to and working with the Chairperson of EESM Exhibits, the interns will assist with management of the museum software (Past Perfect) and the development of information wed based repository. The intern will assist in related research and structuring the museum satellite exhibits.
• Public Relations/Journalism Internship: Reporting to the Vice Chairperson of the Board, the interns will assist with social media, public relations activities of program oversight of marketing strategies for our growing maritime heritage activity. The intern will assist our Board of directors and local town officials, with promoting our events, publications and member news through social media and other web-based communications. The intern will employ social media technologies on behalf of EESM.
