Membership dues and contributions are tax deductible.

Your membership dues support:

  • Preservation of maritime artifacts and historic photos
  • Seasonal Arts & Culture Series
  • Rotating exhibits
  • Blacksmith shop
  • Fellow nautical non-profit and environmental organizations
  • Supplement children’s educational programs
  • Long Beach Bar (Bug) Lighthouse, an offshore lighthouse and important navigational aid

We depend on member support and generous donations for everything we do.

Membership Levels

Individual - $35 | Senior, Students & Military -  $20 Household - $50

Basic Benefits: membership card, invitations to all events and activities, member-only trips, discounts and priority registration for lighthouse cruises, 10% discount in museum gift shop. EESM members can also sign up for U.S. Lighthouse Society membership at a 20% discount (Normally $40, East End Seaport Members pay only $30).

Crew - $100

Basic Benefits plus two free admission to any member institution belonging to the Council of American Maritime Museums

First Mate - $250

Crew Benefits plus two tickets to Bug lighthouse Tour, and complimentary membership in the U.S. Lighthouse Society, which includes a subscription to their quarterly magazine, “The Keeper’s Log,” and Bulletin of lighthouse news, trips and tours

Captain - $500

First Mate Benefits plus two tickets to the Lighthouse cruise.  Captain will also receive 2 tickets to the Land & Sea Gala.

Admiral Membership - $1,000*

Captain Benefits plus complimentary admission to any museum event, activity or trip for Admiral member and guest. Personal visit and tour of Bug Light. Recognition on museum plaque and at all museum events. Admiral also receives four tickets to the Land & Sea Gala. 

*Please note that in order to renew your Admiral Membership status after the first year, there will be an annual membership fee supplement of $250.
