On September 10, 2012.

See the most lighthouses of any cruise in perfect comfort.

The Jessica W is a high-speed catamaran with a cruising speed of 35 knots (40 mph), and is the fastest boat in the Cross Sound Ferry fleet.  It has modern airline seating, and comfortable lounges and tables. It features two enclosed air conditioned passenger decks and an outside viewing deck.

Cedar Point

We will see 10-12 lighthouses in NY and CT - the most of any lighthouse trip.

They include Long Beach Bar "Bug" Light, Orient Point, Plum Island, Little Gull, Race Rock, New London Ledge, New London Harbor Light, Latimer Reef, North Dumpling, The Ruins and Cedar Point.

The trip will be narrated by Ted Webb, an expert on local maritime history and Bob Allen, the great-grandson of William Follett, the last lighthouse keeper of Bug Light and Cedar Point, They will share family stories and legends about the lights, including several that are reputedly haunted.

Little Gull Island

North Dumpling Island

We will depart from Greenport at 9 AM and return at 3 PM.

A continental breakfast, Boar's Head deli boxed lunch, and complimentary  glass of wine or bottle of water is included in the registration.

New London Ledge

Registration is $95 per person.  $85 for museum members, Southold Town residents, and groups of 10 or more. $60 for teens or children.

This special trip would not be possible without the generous support of Cross Sound Ferry, who donated the vessel and crew for the day. The ticket sales from this cruise will go toward the preservation of Bug Light, and to fund programs in keeping with the Museum's mission to "recognize, restore and preserve the maritime heritage of the East End of Long Island, New York."
